It’s fair to say the weather has been far from summery here in Exeter, but if you’re planning a summer getaway to Devon, fear not, there is PLENTY to keep you occupied, whatever the weather.
Here are just a few of our favourite activities in and around Exeter and all an easy distance from Bendene Town House.
Escape Room
An escape room is a brilliant way to spend a few hours with friends, family or colleagues. At Escape Hunt Exeter, you and your teammates will leap into virtual new worlds to complete groundbreaking missions. Together you have to work to find clues, solve puzzles and complete the challenges before the time runs out.
With themes including Blackbeard, The Last Vikings and Alice in Wonderland, these immersive games are a brilliant way to spend a rainy afternoon.
Tenpin
Perfect for all ages, bowling is a family friendly activity for everyone to enjoy. At Tenpin there are 22 state-of-the-art bowling lanes to get the fun started as well as popular arcade games and pool. There is also a great selection of food and drink to enjoy so you can make a day (or night) of it!
Vue / Odeon / Picture House
Whether you’ve opted for Oppenheimer or Barbie (or both!) this summer, we’re lucky to have three cinemas here in Exeter showing all the latest blockbuster movies. We’re particularly fond of the Picture House which has a boutique art-house feel to it and serves delicious Fairtrade coffee and fresh pizzas as well as wines, beers and ciders.
iPlay Exeter
iPlay is a bright, clean, fun and vibrant place to let the kids play, while the grown-ups enjoy time out with a coffee from the rainforest cafe. There are two exciting worlds for little ones to discover - Ice Age and Jurassic. Each themed zone is designed to keep children entertained and engaged with dinosaur models, volcanoes to scale and a woolly mammoth to discover.
